THICK WISPS (Juan Matos Capote + Giancarlo Bracchi) performed at Tune (Out)))side 2007 at Wave Farm, Acra, New York on July 7th, 2007. For IMAGES, click here
"The early days of summer 2007 saw a convergence of two New York based sound artists (Giancarlo Bracchi and Juan Matos Capote) and the result quickly evolved into Thick Wisps. Juan Matos Capote, with his circuit-bent Speak and Spells and Casio keyboards, learned the art of instrument modification from the father of circuit bending himself, Reed Ghazala. Giancarlo Bracchi offers up heaping piles of steaming noise, subterranean rumblings, dizzying drones and theremin-violence that would make Clara Rockmore blush. Together they weave low end gurglings and demonic vocals with nattering naybobs and demented tone poems to create a magic carpet ride for your mind's eye (and ears)." (free103point9.org)
